However if you are still facing any issue then feel free to post a question in our forum. I have done all the steps, ran cmd as administrator etc and got the tool to function normally. But still DOES NOT ALLOW FSX TO LOAD. Did a registry clean, reran cmd, same 1722 error. Did a regedit and deleted all keys associated with fsx or flight simulator, did a registry clean, and reran CMD (all as an administrator)..SAME 1722 ERROR.
Each time goes all the way through discs one and two and seems to fail on last step. AMD HP ENVY M6 LAPTOP with WINDOWS 8 and FS Gold Edition all brand new. Note: FSX did load and ran fine for few days on an external hard drive. Bought same brand and size harddrive to use as one dedicated to games and tried to uninstall FS..that is when all the problems began. There is no uninstall program, and control panel does not display FSX.
Puran Utilities was run is 'force uninstall' mode so now have no working install of FSX.
