Buenas a todos: Acabo de volver de Japon, llevo trabajando alli bastante tiempo y he regresado, al llegar con la consola NTSC y juegos de ps3, no he tenido ningun problema, salvo con el Uncharted! Que solo puedo ponerlo en ingle y japones, pero eso me da igual. Mi problema es que no puedo jugar a mis juegos de PS2 puesto que son PAL, y tras estropearseme la PS2 pense que no pasaba nada, tengo la PS3 de 60Gb, pero para malestar mio no funcionan. Pense que si porque pensaba que PS3 era region free, pero ahora se que solo para los juegos de PS3. Por lo tanto, alguien podria ayudarme, alguien sabe una solucion para jugar a mis juegos de PS2 PAL en mi PS3 NTSC?

I like the way they always have the spine coloured where we usually get plain white spines with plain black text, although recently we've had GH3, AC, and COD4 which all have nice fully covered boxes. There are a few ways to check if the game is NTSC or PAL. The first is the rating. NTSC games are rated by ESRB wheras PAL either have the PEGI rating or the standard movie ratings.

There's also the serial number on the spine. PAL games have a 'BLES' number while US NTSC games have 'BCUS'. Also, NTSC games have the region 1 logo on the spine. I for one have never had 1 single problem buying games from ebay and have bought literally hundreds. Just picked up Resi 5- £3, Okami- £2.67, SoTC and ICO- £24 for both and We love Katamari £16. So basically the best games ever released on PS2 for under 50 quid. Sorry but if you can find a better deal than that then go for it.

I know where to get the PS2 from, Amercia lol. I can use a power converter for the PS2 power outlet from US to UK. And I will buy and official sony component cable, made for PS3, but works perfectly with PS2.

Couldn't find service tag on the back, I've entered all possible numbers and sequences from the two stickers on the back, no luck. On the PC via DVI, the monitor is great, however, With the PS2, things turned rather dissapointing: PS2- Video (Composite / Yellow jack) -Pal@50Hz works, NTSC@60Hz doesn't.

And almost all of my games are bought from USA. It's frustrating. PS2- Component (Red, Green, Blue jacks) -Pal@50Hz, doesn't work at all, NTSC-Haven't tried any more. I just bought a new TV and have connected the PS2 to the TV (Samsung T200HD if that helps) in the same way, but the picture is in black and white with some distortion. I have successfully seen a normal colour picture when I connected to PS2 to the new TV using the SCART adaptor, so it can't be a problem with the lead, or the incompatability of PAL and NTSC, or disc regions, or the display settings on the PS2.
