(2017-07-26) • Improved loading performance of Personal Photo Station. • Public shared albums are now sorted as specified in Settings. • Fixed an issue where face recognition might still occupy some CPU resource when disabled. • Fixed an issue where empty people tags might still exist after face recognition was disabled. • Fixed an issue where public shared albums created by the admin might not be downloadable. • Detailed information in the lightbox mode does not show up by default from this update. The setting is adjustable in Settings.
• Minor bug fixes. (2017-03-24) What's new • Enhanced overall performance of Photo Station (PHP 7.0 required). • Added an option “Always sort folders by name” in the settings. Fixed issues • Fixed a security issue to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks.
(CVE-2017-9555) • Fixed an issue where public shared links created by users might not be opened. • Fixed an issue where the 'photo' shared folder might be visible in File Station to users, when first-level albums in Photo Station contained public sub-albums. • Fixed an issue where the option “Edit Album Properties” for smart albums was missing from the top toolbar. • Minor bug fixes. Known Issues & Limitations • This update is currently not available for DS413 and DS213+ models (Qoriq platform) due to limited compatibility with PHP 7.0. (2016-11-24) • You can now select an album and share it publicly. All items immediately below this album will be shared except for sub-albums.
• Added advanced features for publicly shared albums, including comments, color labels, and area highlighting tools. • Supports password protection for publicly shared albums. • The blog function will be disabled by default in this upgrade. It is recommended that you migrate to WordPress for more features. You can also manually enable the blog function from the settings of Photo Station. • Minor bug fixes. (2016-06-06) • Users now can browse/edit photo rating, and filter photos by the rating.
With the new feature, Photo Station will start the re-index mechanism after the upgrade. • Added options to disable the detailed information of photos/videos and the download function for guests/general users. • Users now can set an album cover in smart albums. • Conversion of the shared folder 'photo' to Windows ACL privileges is now available, and the configured albums' privileges will be applied. • Enhanced the performance when the first and second level albums contain numerous sub-albums. • Minor bug fixes.
(2016-03-24) • Added support for watermark to help protect the copyright of your photos. • The plugin in WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal allows you to access Photo Station directly and add photos or albums to these three platforms. • Windows AD and LDAP users can use Personal Photo Station now. • Supports html script for embedding Photo Station to other websites. • Security enhancement with XSS attack prevention. • Extend file size limitation of uploading and playing videos from 2GB to 32GB for 64 bits models. • Added a feature to prevent photos from being embedded via HTML iframe.
• Supports migration flow to export Photo Station blog and import to WordPress. • Adjusted re-order flow and new method to create a new album on photo wall. • Shows photo shooting time and geolocation information on lightbox as well as slideshow mode. (2015-10-08) • Updated to be compatible with DSM 4.3.
• Supports downgrading from Photo Station 6. (For DSM 4.3 users downgrading from Photo Station 6, please go to Control Panel >DSM Update and install DSM 4.3-3776-1 before installing Photo Station 5.) For users downgrading from Photo Station 6: • As Photo Station 6 requires fewer thumbnails than Photo Station 5, missing thumbnails will need to be generated after downgrading.
During the process, photos cannot be rotated, face-recognition cannot be used; • After downgrading to Photo Station 5, any albums created with Photo Station 6 will have its 'allow users to comment' setting disabled by default. You will need to re-enable it again for these albums as this is not a global setting in Photo Station 5.
